How we started

Our Founder, William Yarbrough, saw how the shortage of options in Southeast Idaho began to affect the CMV industry when the FMCSA issued the new ELDT rulings in 2022.

As a former Port of Entry Officer, he had seen firsthand how the lack of formal driver training has made things difficult for drivers. In recent years, he has professionally driven for local construction companies and it further opened his eyes to the lack of information new CMV drivers are provided with. As a Foreman, he could see how it would benefit a company to have on-site training for their employees while familiarizing them with their own equipment.

Recognizing that he has a unique perspective as someone who has enforced, professionally driven, and provided maintenance on CMVs, he decided to pursue the difficult task of creating his own proprietary school.

We are thrilled to announce Yarbie's Trucking, LLC as an approved proprietary school by the Idaho State Board of Education! We are open for course offerings starting in the Fall of 2023. We offer individual instruction in a group setting as well as mobile instruction for companies.

It is our goal here at Yarbie's Trucking to provide quality instruction to the next generation of drivers and better our communities through job sustainability and safer roads. Starting from helping you get your learner's permit all the way to guiding you through finding your first job as a driver, we're here for the entire process.

From the owner:

I have 13 years of experience and knowledge in the trucking industry from multiple fields such as maintenance, professional driving, and law enforcement. With my previous experience in law enforcement, I have seen a lot of inconsistencies with how the CMV industry is taught and the misinformation that is provided to professional drivers. The new ELD-T ruling will help shore up these inconsistencies as well as additional courses we can provide here at Yarbie's. As professional drivers, it is our responsibility to know and understand the local laws and regulations and know how they apply to our vehicles, as well as provide safe practices.

This instruction will help kick off your journey the right way, with the proper knowledge, understanding, and professionalism that you'll need to succeed in the trucking industry.

Welcome!
